Your journey has been long, the road unforgiving, but the Priory rises before you at last. Great stories don’t begin with heroes. They begin with ordinary people who refuse to stay that way. Every brotherhood has its secrets, and this one was built on one. Follow along as Gray and Havik tread forward as a simple errand tempers them into young men, and proving the old saying true: “Chose your path before your path choses you.”
I am Sam Nirva, and I welcome you to The Priory Brotherhood, a sweeping three book saga born from my love of grounded fantasy, brotherhood, and the kinds of choices that carve a person into who they become. Here you will follow the young men of the Priory and others as they struggle, grow, and discover their place in a world that is larger and more dangerous than they ever imagined.
Gray, the first book in the series, is complete and now in revision and editing. Book two, Havik, is underway. If you would like to be notified when the books are released, please consider joining the email list.
Gray: Book one of the Priory Brotherhood

Raised within the stone walls of the Priory, Gray has learned to survive by being quiet, observant, and forgettable. It’s was a skill that kept him safe among boys who grew into rivals and sometimes tormentors. After a few years of hard work at the nearby farmstead he grew, and the balance of power shifted. Now he is watched with a wary respect, and Gray wants nothing more than to keep his head down and finish his training in peace.
Gray is sent beyond the Priory on what should be a simple errand to Ocksdale. Deliver a message to the Duke, what could go wrong? The journey forces him into uneasy company, dredges up questions about his past, and draws the attention of forces far older and more dangerous than he understands. He soon finds that the world beyond the Priory is not as stable as the he was taught to believe.
As Gray navigates new alliances, hidden agendas, and the unsettling stirrings of a power he never asked for, he begins to realize that the quiet life he imagined is no longer possible. Someone has marked him, either as a threat, a tool, or something far more complicated and the path ahead will demand choices he is not ready to make.
In a world shaped by old grudges, buried magic, and unspoken truths, Gray must decide who he is to become… and whether he can live with the cost.
